Control panel option missing, how to enable

  • Hello,

    some times ago a web-company use WordPress to create my company web site and after sometimes they abandone us to ourself so i must learn something about WordPress (veri nice) if i want update website.
    My problem is following, they use a custom template for our web page and now i see in some walkthrough on internet that should be an options called (editor) in appearance\aspect section of WP control panel (my WP is in Italian) than give me opportunity to edit CSS without use hosting control panel….
    In my WP that options it’s not present… how can i enable it?

    If you have any plug-in or trick to make my life easy i will be happy because web it’s not my job and any situation is a challenge…
