• Hi there,

    I run wordpress at https://www.rapnews.co.uk

I was wondering if anyone had an answer to my question.

Whenever I make a new update in any of the categories on my site, the update appears in short form on the index page of my site.

As my site is huge, and in a competitive are of the media, i’d like to control what updates are displayed on the first page. There are sections more important and attractive to visitors than others.

    Thanks for your time,
    Tee.

    anyone?

By ‘sections’ do you mean categories ?
It is possible to not display certain categories in the way you wish, but it’s quite rigid in that you can’t then choose to post one item from that cat.

that method seems better than the current set up. how do i determine what categories it does and doesn’t display?

    cheers.

I want to do something similar. I am using WordPress as a CMS, and I want only some pages to appear in recent updates. Pages do not have categories, but they do have a hierarchical structure. I would like to have only certain pages (and their subpages) appear in the list.

Is there some sort of filter that can make this happen?
