• Hi,

I just noticed that one of my blog entries appears as a blank page. (It doesn’t even load any of the code.) All of my other pages load just fine.

I was wondering if anyone has any idea what could be the source of the problem?

    The page is:
    https://www.thecanadiangeek.ca/archives/in-defense-of-the-pedophile/

And before anyone gets their knickers in a twist, it’s not what you think. (It’s an essay about adolescents, parenting and sexuality. Don’t believe me: you can check out a reprint of the story: https://www.snipeme.com/guestrants.php?rant=defense_of_pedo )

I can still edit the page and it has about a 160 comment, but I know WP can handle more than that, so I don’t think it’s a database problem.

    Anyway, any thoughts?

  • Must be the CIA. Look out for men in black en bas de chez toi !

Running any new firewalls “internet security” thingies on your PC?

That page loads up just fine for me.

I just tried checking the page on another computer in my house and it loads just fine. But on my computer, I still get a message that says,

    “Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “https://www.thecanadiangeek.ca/archives/in-defense-of-the-pedophile”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.”

I don’t understand what could be causing this, we don’t have firewalls or anything like that on our computers.

Alas, I wish I could offer wisdom. It is a very large page… perhaps Safari just gives up due to size? But at least we know WP is still doing the job!
