That’s indeed a strange one, we send the same set of events with all our events, both tag or API.

Is there any chanced there is something else sending API events?

Do you see the same issue in our native logs? Open the logs page, enable Meta API Logs, save. Place an order. Get back to the logs, disable and save (to avoid having a large file). Check the data for the purhcase event recorded in the logs. Does it have currency?

    Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I followed the steps that you suggested and the information from the logs is showing that the purchase event is sending the currency parameter – https://share.cleanshot.com/dXyXT7T8

The event is the same for the pixel and conversion api right?

What can be causing the missing parameter from the facebook events manager?

    Hi,

Can anyone reply to my last comment?

I don’t’ have an answer for that. It might be a one time error with a very particular reason. Do you still see it reported? Is there anything else on the site that can send API events? Another plugin?

    Hi,

No, it’s not a one time problem, it still exists. Can you tell me is the purchase event generated once and than sent once through the pixel and once through the conversion api, or there are separate events for the pixel and the api?

Each event is sent using both tag and API. The same is true for the Purhcase event. So the answer is that pair of tag/API events tracks the same action and is sent in the same time. In this case, it tracks purchases.

There is a separate feature that sends API events for orders that were never tracked by the usual tag/API purhcase event when such order status is changed to completed. It’s called Advanced Purhcase Tracking, controlled on the plugin’s WooCommerce page.
