Conversion Tracking GTM

  • I’m trying to set up conversion tracking in GTM and I’m not sure if it’s possible to do so with Call Now Button.

    In the Tag Manager documentation is says that I will have to add this piece of code or the onlick command function to the button. As seen below.

    <button onclick=”goog_report_conversion(‘tel:800-123-4567’)”>Call 800-123-4567</button>

    Will I need to FTP and edit this in the plugin files?

    Or has anyone else performed Adwords conversion tracking with the Call Now Button and can give me some info? Thanks!

  • Are taps showing as events in regular analytics?

    Hi… Sorry for the late response.

    I”m trying again but this time I’ve tagged the button with a Click based event in GTM. When I test the button by shrinking my browser and clicking records as an event in my analytics.

    However it doesn’t register any event when I click when on my phone.

    The Button is located at https://ridebluecar.com/taxi-cab

    Can you help me in knowing why the tag is working on PC but not on mobile
