The tags the plugin adds do work in Google Analytics – all our form submission are showing as conversions in GA. But, even though our AdWords account is linked properly to my GA account, the conversions themselves do not transfer over to AdWords with the rest of the data.

    Have you encountered this before?

The reason it is imperative to solve this problem is that in AdWords, there are several services that depend on having the conversion data show in AdWords.

As I say, the link between AdWords and my GA accounts exists, and it works properly. The only thing not showing in AdWords are the conversions.

Thanks. I don’t use AdWords personally, so I’m wondering if we can help each other.

I need to push some code, so hopefully that can happen in the next few days. I’m wondering if you can help test it out before I push it up here to make sure it’s working.

I think I got the same prob. My goal is to mimick the following tracking JS code:

onClick=”ga(‘send’, ‘event’, { eventCategory: ‘Anxiety Test’, eventAction: ‘Form’});”

I can see the event showing up in Analytics but it doesn’t show up as a conversion. Is there a way you can fix this?

Having the following code on the submit button: onClick=”ga(‘send’, ‘event’, { eventCategory: ‘Anxiety Test’, eventAction: ‘Form’});” must trigger the conversion. If you could simulate the same behaviour with your plugin that’d be awesome.

I’ll work on this on Saturday but I need someone willing to test out the code before I put it on .org.

    Hey Ronald,

I noticed that your quick setup webpage link is down. It would be nice to get a little more insight on setup instructions. For some reason my Google Analytics account doesn’t have any events posted after a few weeks.

    Any news on this issue?

Sorry no. I need another developer familiar with adwords to step in on this.

I re-coded the plugin so that it can now do JS events, which should work with AdWords. I need some testers, however.

If you have a chance, download/install the plugin from here and let me know how it works for you.

The newest version (2.0.0) supports JS-only (Google Analytics) which should resolve the AdWords issues.
