• When I “View” a gallery it opens looking like a normal Post (Site header, background etc.) but does not have any linking to my lightbox; I discovered that, even though the galleries are categorised as “Gallery” in my posts cats. it is not recognised as a Post category type. Is there a script I can use (instead of creating a separate Post with the gallery embedded) to make a gallery display as a “Post”?.
A secondary issue is that the thumbnails appear to only be able to display title and not caption?

    keithtee67,

Have you tried using the gallery’s short code to display the gallery in a post or page?

Looking at the image tiles on my test site, checking the Thumbnail Captions Enabled and selecting the caption’s position displays the caption and not the title. The title is displayed when the mouse hovers over a tiled image.

Thanks Alan, I am aware of that and do use it within posts. I have a plugin which generates indexes of any post category including the thumbnail and makes it easy to have access just to galleries from a menu tab. I thought there may be a way of making the galleries as they “view” into “proper” posts – seems like it’s a WP taxonomy thing? I was trying to avoid having to create a gallery post or page for each one (67 and counting) and once more avoid the wp duplicate postname issue which I already have with Mapify and the galleries themselves as well as posts!
Cheers and thanks for the thought!
