Convert WP to static??

Would like to know is there any way of converting a wordpress site into a static website (i.e. html only and no db connection)?

I am asking this as I am trying to do a website for an event (my wedding to be exact) using wordpress. However after my event is over, I will no longer have the need (or time) to maintain it but I still want the website to be around for a very long time to be viewed by my family and friends. At the same time, I do not wish to an old version of wordpress unmaintained since security holes will be discovered over time.

Was thinking for a while and I believe converting the wordpress site into a static site after the event is the best solution, but I am not sure if such a solution exist.
