Converting Foreign Characters in Post_title and Post_content

  • I am directly access the post_title and post_content fields in the database table. However foreign characters remain garbled and are not displayed properly. Obviously something goes on regarding conversion/sanitation of foreign characters with the WP_Query object. Any clue what, so that I can reproduce it?
