    Good morning, all!
I’m new to WordPress, and blogging in general. I’ve got a site I keep as a ‘journal’, for the most part. Hand-archiving everything. I’d like to install WordPress and start keeping a ‘true blog’ on my site.

My question: Can I enter my old entries and adjust the ‘date/time’ stamp on them so they come up as the dates I originally posted them on? Say, if I re-post an entry from May 19, 2004… can I post-date it?

Please let me know if I’m making sense, or if I’m just going senile.
    Thanks!
    Jberglund

PS… I’m moving over to WordPress because so far, after 6 attempts/loads, I have not been able to make MT run. I’m hoping for better here. ??

yes, you can modify your post_date values. you might want to go to options -> writing and check the box “advanced editing” so as to save you once click per post if there are many entries awaiting you.

Great! I do have a good amount of posts to copy over. But, I’m looking forward to doing it, so I can categorize and archive them properly.

    Thanks!
