• Hey Opa, it’s been a while since I used this one and had a question about how it works.

I have been uploading a lot of images (maybe a couple thousand) as PNGs and was wondering if the conversion works all at once or I have to specify the album to convert. I was about to run it and didn’t see and album setting and was a little leery of just running a sitewide conversion without checking with you.

To confirm, does it do the conversion, then delete the old PNG and we are left with the JPG file. I am also guessing the viewcount and comments remain with the photo. Also, of course, do I specify any albums or does it just start chugging through thousands of photos.

    Thanks for any help!

It converts source files, possibly rotated source files, display files, thumbnails and possible local cdn files, and deletes the .pngs after successful conversion.

Unfortunately there is no cron button, so you have to leave the browser tab alive.
You can restart if the tab is accidently closed.

It may take some time, but you can follow the progression by looking at the togo field.

    Ah, very good.

So am I to understand even if the operation is interrupted, any ALREADY converted files are good for viewing in the gallery? So a restart will likely pick up where things left off when interrupted.

    You understand it correctly.

You may need to clear caches on the server if you have any installed and active
