converting to static page does not work at all

  • I configured a wordpress site on wp 6.0 based on the theme skatepark on localwp. I tried to generate a static site with the free version of simply static. After 2 hours I quit the process. It does not stop rendering. I got no error message. How long will it take to generate a small site?

    Is there a way to check where the problem is? I would buy the pro version if I knew that it works.
