Cookie banner won’t disappear

Hi @bauwb,

This is most likely due to a jQuery error when clicking Accept. If you enable Complianz I can have a quick look.

To do it yourself, you can enable Complianz;

1. Open your browser console (right-click on page – inspect – console)
2. Click the accept button
3. Look for errors in your error console from 1.

If you used the script center, please make sure the scripts or URL’s are entered correctly,

Now I have disabled ‘Aggregate JS-files’ in Autoptimize and now I get this error:

It seems to struggle with; <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”wHVZtUcdizWjFvuxvkG1ZaMOtCYFR7d63ybCPVEUMYM” />

Can you delete this from the script center and try again? This verification doesn’t need consent, and should be put in your header.php directly or with a plugin like header footer code manager.

I saw a 404 on Tag Manager as well, this most likely due to the fact the container is not yet published,

Oh, I remember that I have added the google site verification in there exactly, but I have already removed it. My script center is empty, top to bottom. Do I have to look somewhere else to delete it?

I now also published my GTM container.

Unfortunately, a new error appeared, please deactivate the reCaptcha integration.

Can you tell me how you’ve integrated reCaptcha with CF7?

Contact Form 7 plugin > settings > Integration > (reCAPTCHA V3) Setup Integration > entered site key + secret key

This gives me a check mark and “reCAPTCHA is active on the site”.

I am using this custom CSS though to hide the recaptcha badge:

Do I have to delete the integration inside of CF7 or disable the plugin inside of Complianz? Because I would still like to use the recaptcha functionality.

I have disabled the integration of CF7 within Complianz and now my initial problem has been solved! The banner disappears when I click accept.

Now I’m not sure anymore if Complianz is actually blocking anything (which should be blocked)?

This has the plugins; CF7 and Complianz.

In CF7 reCaptcha V3 is integrated.
In Complianz the integrations with CF7 and reCaptcha are enabled.

You will see the end result on the above link, please let me know if you can reproduce this as well, and if not which versions of both plugins you’re using.

On the front-end everything is working correctly now. (I think at least?) In the back end though I am experiencing some problems. I can’t enable the plugin ‘CF7’ anymore in the Complianz settings. If I enable it and click save, it automatically disables.

Also, after updating Complianz today I am receiving this error message in the back end saying: “jQuery was not detected on the front-end of your site. Complianz requires jQuery. For more information on this subject, please read this article”

But again, on the front end everything is working fine. So I’m not sure if I actually need to do something to fix this error?

I tried to implement this code into my functions.php file but it didn’t work. I think I will leave it like it is. Will the plugin work either way or is it broken because of this error message?
