Cookie bar not displaying in version 1.5

Ah. It’s put it right at the bottom of the page even though it should be at the top. Changing to footer then back to header makes no difference – it’s still at the bottom. Clearing the Wordfence cache makes no difference.

How do I get it back to the top?

You must have some caching issue as your homepage links to the old version of cookielawinfo.js

Old version: https://www.zenosblog.com/wp-content/plugins/cookie-law-info/js/cookielawinfo.js?ver=4.2.2

New version: https://www.zenosblog.com/wp-content/plugins/cookie-law-info/js/cookielawinfo.js (if you check this you’ll see it’s version 1.5)

You’ll need to address that issue first then if the problem persists post back here and I’ll take a look it again.

I checked again and realised I don’t have Wordfence cache enabled and I don’t have any other caching plugin so I don’t understand how there could be a cache issue.

I’m also not sure what you mean about the version of cookielawinfo.js. I can see those two urls return slightly different files but I don’t understand what the ?ver=4.2.2 parameter is doing. When I look at the file via ftp, I see the second line as:

/* plugin version 1.5 */

So where is the old version coming from?

Have I misunderstood something?

Try version 1.5.1 which should load the new script with the URL:

Updated to 1.5.1 and the link you gave shows 1.5.1, but I still have no idea what that is doing and the cookie bar is still at the bottom.

Should that have fixed the issue?

Great! Not sure how you tested it on my site, but I’ve updated to 1.5.2 and the banner is now at the top where it should be.
