    Hi, that is very strange. That should not be happening. Do you have any other security plugin installed? Try the following, disable all your other plugins except this one.

    If you have another browser, try login in again with the secret word, log out clear the browser cache and then try the normal login wp-login or wp-admin?

    I’m feeling stupid now….

    I checked the contents of the .htaccess file and none of the settings were saved there. So when I was saving the settings, they weren’t being saved to the htaccess file and I missed the message at the top of the page telling me so.

    I changed the permissions on .htaccess, pressed ‘save’ and it works.

    Apologies for missing the obvious!
