Cookie close and accept not working with jetpack and neve

I wasn’t able to replicate this issue, the pop-up is closing properly for me, so this could be caused by a plugin conflict. Please try to backup your site, deactivate all plugins and then reactivate them one by one so you will be able to check which one could cause this and replace it with an alternative plugin.

I have done this and turned off all of the plugins. If I switch to the Neve theme and then activate jetpack the box comes up and it will not go away on Chrome or Android mobile for sure.

If I switch to other themes there is no problem. I guess I am going to have to stop using the theme

Unfortunately we are not able to replicate the issue, it is not related to the theme. We tried it on multiple test instances and it works as expected, the notification closes and the page doesn’t refresh. Also, we don’t get any error when refreshing the page. You can check one of our test sites here to see that it is working properly.

Hi so I did a session with WordPress support and found that WordPress changed their widget management system and it wasn’t gelling with Neve theme. The consent cookie was an issue of getting stuck in this widget and I was able to add a plugin to revert to old widgets and remove the consent. Then I got another plug in to handle a new consent cookie widget.

The WordPress support staff said they found some documentation and sent it over to you all at Neve and that someone was working on the widget management system to work better with what WP changed to. I don’t know much more about that end.

But I found a work around and it looks WP and Neve are talking about the documentation that he found in the code.
