    Hi,

After updating to version 3.0.0. and going through the wizard again the cookie consent notice and settings tab are not showing at the front end. Clearing website and browser cache did not help either. This applies to 3 different sites.

    Kind regards,

    Alex Hamstra

    Hi @bartjansen,

Thanks for letting us know. It seems to work here locally.

We have to look further. Will let you know.

    Hi @rogierlankhorst,

Website, browser and CDN cache were purged on Friday and for a second time Saturday after noticing no changes. After a couple of hours there were still no changes yesterday so I deactivated the CDN. After deactivating the CDN the Cookie Notice appeared when visiting the site as an admin but not when visiting the site as a visitor (Chrome incognito mode and Firefox). When visiting the site as a visitor the AddThis Sidebar immediately loads (normally blocked before consent is given) and Google Ads don’t load at all and there’s no Settings tab visible as well.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

I just checked your site, it looks as though you have the 2.1.8 version on your site now, so I can’t check the 3.0 functionality.

If there are differences between visiting as visitor or as admin, this is likely still a caching issue.

Regarding the Google ads not displaying, I’ll have to take a look to see what’s happening. We’ll test this on our sandbox as well.

Maybe the quickest way to resolve the issue is to contact us directly at [email protected], so we can create a duplicator export of your site for local testing.

    Hello,

I tried again this afternoon. It now works fine when accepting al cookiies but when i accept only neccesary cookies the video is still somewhere down the page. Still a great improvement!

    Hi @bartjansen,

    This is without Jetpack activated?

    Regards Aert

    Hello Aert,

    With Jetpack activated.

    Hi @bartjansen,

I have logged a support ticket with Jetpack,

The reason being Jetpack adds a span element for responsiveness, even when using Gutenberg. This seems unnecessary at our end and an issue if we want to block the Gutenberg YouTube block and add a placeholder.

I will keep this thread open until resolved. Regards Aert
