We have a site which is using the GDPR Cookie Consent & Compliance Notice plugin and also MetaSlider. When you go into the Gutenberg editor, add a MetaSlider block and select a slider, it displays the content of the cookie bar and also the privacy underneath the slider. This only appears in the editor, not in either Preview mode or the published page. The content is rendered as text (no links or functioning tick boxes).

I have checked and the problem still occurs if I change to the Twenty Twenty-One theme and disable all the other plugins. This suggests that there is some sort of conflict between the two plugins.

    Can you help?

    Thanks

Following up, I have had a response from MetaSlider:

MetaSlider is using an iframe to create a preview. I’m guessing the cookie consent gets embedded right through the body tag, that’s why it’s also showing in the MetaSlider preview. This could be avoided by maybe making sure that the cookie consent doesn’t get displayed in the admin dashboard.

You should contact CookieYes | GDPR Cookie Consent & Compliance Notice (Webtoffee) regarding this matter.

I do get the cookie bar rendered in Admin – noticeably in the Widgets editor. This is a bit different as it is only text that is showing, not links.

    Hi @mandynepeta,

We can help you hide the bar on the back end admin page of Metaslider plugin. Please add the code here to your active theme’s functions.php.
