    Hello,

may I ask, what is the name of the cookie/s that this plugin uses? Is it possible to restrict them so the abandonned cart text on the checkout page does not show if users declined the cookie policy? Thank you.

    Hello @fjura,

    Greetings for the day!

Out plugin captures the data using the ajax call to capture the checkout data. But for that we don’t use the cookie. But there is one cookie used which is wcf_ca_skip_track_data but it is not to store the data. It is used to display the GDPR details. It holds only true/false values.

If you don’t want to show the GDPR text you can disable it form the settings.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Aamir,

ah ok, so if its not using cookies, the only way how to disable this feature, (since its tracking personal data) is the option “No, thank you” ?

    Hello @fjura,

    Thanks for writing back.

Yes, this link on the GDPR message will allow the customer to disable the tacking for the order.

    Hi Aamir,

thank you. So just to double check, there isnt any way how to make this an “Opt In” instead of only “Opt Out”? So that the users would first need to agree to have this feature, instead of just having an option to disable an already active feature. Beucase having only Opt Out is not GDPR complient. Thank you.

    Hello @fjura,

    Thanks for writing back.

Currently, we only have the option for users to click on the “No, thank you” link. I will discuss this with the dev team to get their input on this and will get back to you.

    Hello?@fjura,

We have confirmed this with our devs, and As of now, there is no way to make it Opt-In. By default, the feature is tracking the abandonment cart and as it is a main feature and working of the plugin, it will be enabled by default.

So, if any of the users or store owners, don’t require this then those users can disable this tracking by opt-out after clicking on the No Thanks button below the email field.

    Best Regards,
