• We tried several GDPR-Cookie-blocking plugins. All showed problems with our caching (W3 + Redis). This problem could be solved by grouping just one cookie and leave this uncached. Apparently, in our actual cookie-plugin ‘Weepie Cookie Allow’ this is even solved within a new update. However, this provides our servers with excessive load and even overload with our usual daily traffic.

Please advise on what steps we can take!

    Hello @brightidiots,

We are not aware of any incompatibility (or compatibility for that matter) with the plugin you mentioned. Your problem seems to be related with mentioned plugin and not W3 Total Cache. Please contact their support and hopefully, they will be able to help you further on this matter.

I understand, and will still keep doing so. The only problem is, that the developers keep pointing to W3 or refer to other caching-programs “having a solution for this”.

We are very satisfied with W3 and would not prefer to leave for such a small issue, so therefore my request. Do you have any experience with placing a cookie outside caching, without increasing the serverload dramatically or is this impossible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Server resources are not consumed by cookie group logic a lot but may increase of course dramatically if there will be a lot of those uncached requests

    Hi Marko,

Exactly. With heavy peaks of traffic, this is our issue. Are you aware of any workaround or have you heard of similar cases, who I could contact?

    Thanks in advance.
