Cookie Policy Date Not Being Updated

    Hello – I have been testing out the plugin on a test site and running a number of scans picking up different cookies each time according to how many pages I search. The cookies placed section of the Cookie Policy document is being updated each time but the date given at the head of the document is not being updated and has stayed the same at 11 June 2021.

    Can you explain why the date is not being updated?

    Hi @armstrj1,

    The date that appears above your Legal Documents is only updated when you make changes within the Wizard.

    Hi Jarno,

    I always use the wizard to update the Cookie Policy.

    The date in the Cookie Policy is being updated correctly on the live site but the problem of not updating is still there for this test web site.

    It is strange that the date at the beginning of the Cookie Policy is not being updated but the date given at the end for synchronisation with the Cookie database is, viz:

    This Cookie Policy was last updated on 11 June, 2021 and applies to citizens and legal permanent residents of the United Kingdom.

    This Cookie Policy was synchronised with cookiedatabase.org on 20 June, 2021

    Hi @armstrj1,

    “Sync with CookieDatabase” will not result in users having to re-consent to the Cookie Policy, nor does it change when your Cookie Policy was last updated. “Last updated” is only changed when you change a setting in the Wizard (so, this is unrelated to the Cookie information retrieved with the CookieDatabase sync).
