Cookie problem when loggin in to subsites

    I was migrating my setup to a different server location. Did not change anything in the setup, just the migration. Since then I am not able to log in to the subsites of the network. Can log in to the main site, but not to the subsites. It gives me an error: The use of cookies is deactivated in your browser. Which Is simply not true, since login works fine for any other WordPress site. One site has even a blank screen when calling the front page, the other site works perfectly fine, just not able to log in.

  • Did you also change the site URL/domain during the migration? I’ve read that this issue can appear if

    • the DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE is set incorrectly in wp-config.php or
    • the rows in the wp_options table where option_name is ‘siteurl’ and ‘home’ are set incorrectly.

    Can you check if that’s the case for you as well?

    I resolved the problem setting the cookie domain. In my case the domain names remained the same.
