Cookie Re-Consent
-
The Guidance document for the UK PECR, https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-pecr/guidance-on-the-use-of-cookies-and-similar-technologies/includes the following statements:
1. There are a range of reasons that you may need to visitors to ‘Reconsent’ to cookie settings. An example of where you need to obtain fresh consent is when you are setting non-essential cookies from a new third party
2. Some users will visit your website regularly and others will visit rarely, with a spectrum of others in between. You therefore need to decide an appropriate interval between when you require users to select their preference and also decide when that preference expires, after which point users are given the option again.
Could you please advise on the following questions that arise, indicating whether any available facilities require the premium version of Complianz:
If new cookies are discovered in the monthly period scan of cookies, is there any facility to present users with the option of selecting their preference again?
What is the standard expiry period for user cookie consent and is it possible to change this period to say a month?
