    Hi,

I am trying out your plugin and comparing with Popup Maker. I love the settings page of your plugin – it’s simple and effective. However, one feature that is missing is the ability to reset the closing cookie. With Popup Maker I can delete it and set up a new one. This allows me to test different scenarios and strategies for popups without constantly deleting the old cookies, which isn’t easy on a mobile device. I can’t find any easy way to do this with this plugin. Can you please suggest any solution to this? Have I missed something in the settings?

Your help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @pawanahluwalia, sorry for the delay. National holidays in here ??
Yes, you can use test mode which if your are logged as an admin will ignore cookies and show the popup all the time.
You can configure test mode on each popup, in the display settings.

    Thank you for your reply.

I am aware of the test mode, but this does not resolve my issue. Supposing you publish a popup or test a popup in a live environment. You then decide to make changes to it. For example, I may want to change the cookie time period from 1 month to 0 days. The end user may not see these changes because the close cookie has been triggered. In another post you advise that the cookie must be deleted. This is impractical for a live popup.

Can you suggest how I could deal with such situations? The only method I can think of is to reissue the popup as a new popup and remove the old one. But this is inconvenient if it needs to be done several times. Having control of the cookie at the client end seems to me to be fundamental to maintaining overall control of your popup policy. If you could define the name of the cookie then you could do this by changing the cookie name whenever you need to make a change.

    Look forward to your response.

Perhaps this is asking for a bit much, but please let me know when you make this change. In the meantime thanks for responding to my queries.
