    Hi,

can someone tell me the need for the “wp_dlm_downloading”-Cookie?

Against the background that the Court Of Justice Of The EU ruled, that users need to opt-in to ALL(!) cookies (no matter what), it would be nice to know:

    • if the cookie is necessary for the Download Monitor to function propperly,
    • or if the Plugin would work propperly without it

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hey Harish,

thank you for your answer, but I have no premium add-on for download monitor… I just use the free version of the plugin…

    Best regards!
    Fabian

PS: As soon as I open a page with a download link, the cookie is set.

    Hello,

I apologize for the error on my part.

Yes, the cookie is set to track the user’s download data. We track all downloads by the same user within 60 seconds as just 1 download. This cookie helps achieve that.
