I have several pages with the Divi theme. After I updated Divi to the new version 4.0 the page builder isn’t worker anymore. I disabled all plugins and reenabled them one by one. Result: only if CookieBot is active AND the Cookie-blocking mode is set to auto the Divi page builder is not working. When I set it to manual or deactivate CookieBot the Divi builder works like a charm.

    Can you please fix this?!

    Thx.
    Ralf

  • Hi,

i have the same issue. I already had the same problem with version 3.x. The problem only occurs if the setting is set to “Automatic”.

    Best regards,

    Hi @kuhlma @d3395,

Bugfix is being worked on and will be released this week.

In the meanwhile, you can disable Cookiebot in the WordPress Backoffice (admin area) by going to Advanced Settings -> Disable Cookiebot in WP Admin

We will let you know here when the bugfix is released.

The main problem is the broken frontend builder! I havn‘t tested the ?old“ backend page builder of Divi.

We have just made a release that fixes various issues with auto-blocking.

Please verify if the issue still persists.

Remember to do a hard refresh, Cookiebot my be cached in your browser for 2 hours.

@cookiebot Hi, can you please help me, because I can’t find a new release in the repository. The last update was 1 month ago with version 3.1.0.

Can you tell me, which version from where I should use to verify if the issue still persists?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I’m again with the question: Where can I find/download the new release you mentioned above (‘We have just made a release…’)?

    Kind regards

    Hi,

I installed 3.2.0 on my site, cleared all caches and tried to activate the Divi builder, while CookieBot is in automatic mode.

    Result: it works!!!

    Great job, thx.

    Kind regards
    Ralf

    Hi,

after a long time, i had time to check this issue. The problem is fixed with the new version – thank you!
But i have a new problem. With checked option “Cookie-blocking mode = Automatic”, my site is very slow. Many elements on my site will be load very delayed.

I’ve created a video from the loading time.

    [video src="https://kuhlma-it.ruhr/download/Cookiebot.mp4" /]

I suspected the caching plugin, but the problem is also, when the caching plugin is disabled. (WP Fastest Cache).
At the time, when i have created the video, the browser cache was cleared.

    Kind regards,
    Marco

    Hi Marco,

Due to the way the automatic cookie blocking script processes the page, some delays are unavoidable.
We are looking into how we can optimize the process to make the delays less significant though.
If the delays are unacceptable, you may consider using the manual cookie blocking mode, it’s not as easy to implement, but there will be no delays.
