    Hello,

People are having trouble signing up to Mailchimp through my WordPress site, and the error message that they get is that Javascript and Cookies are not enabled. However, I’ve tested this on my browser, and Javascript and Cookies are in fact enabled, so I don’t understand why I still get an error message. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Hey Neil,

Would it be possible for you to share a link to the page on your website where we can test the form?

    Hi Harish,

Thanks for your quick response. Here is the link on my web site:

    https://relief.news/home/newsletter/

I use the “Email Subscriber” plug-in for the top half of the page, so it is the bottom half of the page that is the Mailchimp plug-in

I did just notice that we’re seeing problems with both plug-ins though, so I’m thinking this may mean there’s some other problem going on, maybe with WordPress or my premium theme? Both the Mailchimp and Email Subscriber plug-ins are updated to the latest version.

    Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Sorry, I think I had that reversed, it’s the top part of the page that is Mailchimp.

    Hi,

The error returned doesn’t seem to be from our form, instead it comes from “Spam shied”.
Please contact them for further support as I have no experience with that plugin.

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards,

    Sorry, typo: Spam Shield.

    Hi @naandrews and @lapzor,

Perhaps I can help. ?? WP-SpamShield fully supports the MailChimp plugin and provides top notch protection for MailChimp forms. There there shouldn’t be any need to deactivate the plugin. In the case of that particular error, there might be a conflict, and its usually a quick fix. Please see Troubleshooting Guide Step 9. It’s rare to see that issue persist after a trip through the Troubleshooting Guide, but if you have any further issues, you can submit a support request. We’ll help you fix any issues in no time. ??

    Hello all,

Thanks so much for all the help. Steven, I followed your advice, and it worked. It turned out that I just had to check one box in Spamshield that wasn’t checked, and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks again!

    Hi Neil,

    Glad to help! ??
