    Hi!

I’ve been using your documentation to set up this plugin (free version). After using the Cookie Scanner, the plugin found a couple of cookies that I then added to the Cookie List. However, the cookies are not blocked by default, and even though I choose to not include/accept them they are still there.

One of the cookies is from the plugin Polylang (pll_language). Is there something I’m missing?

    Thanks!

    Hi @amandau,

The cookies will be blocked only if you have implemented the script of those cookies via our plugin itself. You can refer guide here.

Since it is a Polylang cookie, you won’t be able to implement the script via this plugin since it is added via the Polylang plugin itself. Moreover, pli_langugae cookie is a necessary cookie, therefore you won’t need to block it. Please add it to the necessary category.

    Hi and thanks,

Ok, according to the Cookie Scan it’s been marked as a “non-necessary” cookie though, how come it did that?

For other cookies, am I right in thinking that I add the scripts in the category head and/or footer section in whichever category that suits best? In some guide I found they were specified in each cookie in the Cookie List, hence the confusion.

    Hi @amandau,

We will update it in the database of the scanner.

You may please add the script in the category. The other articles that you are referring to for the premium version of the plugin which is not applicable in your case.
