• Hello everyone,

I’m new here and new to this whole idea of building a WordPress website. I want to build a website (not a blog) for educational purposes. I still don’t have any host or domain or anything in that regard. What I have for now is a lot of content. My question is – what editor should I use to write content so that in the future, when I’ll decide to build a website, I’ll be able to smoothly copy the content to WordPress’s own editor? I understand that Word, for example, is not a good option in this case (some formatting/HTML issues as I understand it?). My content (apart from regular text) has mathematics, tables and pictures/drawings.

    Thanks!

  • Normally, I would suggest a plain text editor but that’s not going to work if you have images and tables. Have you considered grabbing a free wordpress.com blog and putting your content together on that site? It’s then relatively easy to transfer the content to a self-hosted WordPress site when you are ready.

Wow thanks. Didn’t think about this option. So I created the site but it doesn’t seem to have plugins available and I’m still not sure how to add tables and math. I heard about windows live writer – can I make tables and math equation with it and then publish on my WordPress site?
