Copy from default (WordPress) Blocks

    Can you add the ability to copy (extend) from existing Gutenberg blocks?

    It would be useful for 2 reasons, I can think of:

    • As a learning aid, to follow (and amend) an existing block example
    • For rapid ‘fixes’ to existing blocks where something just does not work for that situation

    Hi Jonmojo,

    This isn’t currently possible, nor is it really very possible just with the way things are setup technically.

    That said, we love the idea of:
    a) Creating more documentation with examples on how to create block templates, and
    b) Creating more “starter” blocks, including templates, to help you find your feet

    So, look out this soon!
