    Hello guys,

I made a copy of a german website (.de) to the same domain name with an austrian domain ending (.at). So its basicaly the same page with different domain ending at the moment. (name.de to name.at)

Then I set de-AT as default language for the new austrian website. (hreflang=”de-AT”) This resulted in a loss of the already translated strings of the former german version de-DE. Now I want to simply copy the german translated strings to the austrian version and overwrite it, (copy the .po file?) – ist this possible?

    Regards

    Benjamin

    Hello Benjamin,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

All translations are found in the wp_trp* tables from your database, not in the .po files.

You might move the tables from the old domain to the new one.

Let me know in case further information is needed.

    Best wishes,
