    Dear Developer,

Couple of moths ago, I used NS Cloner to copy the site on domain a, on to domain b in the mutisite network. It worked and I have that copied site still.

Today, when I tried to do so, I dont find that option any more. It seems, we can now clone only on subdomain or on subdirectory of the domain b only.

i.e if I want to copy website-A.com on to website-B.com, in multisite network, it is not working now any more. Please help.

    Was that function taken away??

    PL reply. Thanks

Hello – what you are describing has never been possible with NS Cloner – not even with the Pro version. However, what is possible is domain mapping a clone after the clone is complete. This is easy, and has always been the only way to achieve the results you are describing. We recommend always running multisite in subdomain mode. Clone a site from something like site1.domain.com to site2.domain.com. Then (assuming all your DNS is properly configured) you can go into the site settings and update site2.domain.com so something like site2.com following the instructions here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WordPress_Multisite_Domain_Mapping

That is the only way to have subsites on different domains in multisite.

What you might have seen a couple months ago, is something like where your source site was already domain mapped to something like site1.com whereas your multisite core domain was something like domain.com. Then you would have seen in the NS Cloner something like cloning site1.com to site2.domain.com – but that would only happen if your source site was already domain mapped differently than your core multsite domain. A clone will always start out as on the same domain as the core multisite installation.

    Dear Sir

Even I am amazed, how did I do it. I completely forgotten. Only cloning plugin in my plugin list is NS Cloner. Please see these two domains which are part of a multi site, multi domain network. I cloned https://shraddhanjali.in/ on https://shraddhaanjali.co.in/. But how, I completely forgotten!!!! I did it by NS Cloner only, I am sure!! I did it in December last year.

NO log found for this specific cloning. All logs are recent.

May be I used Export/Import function of word press and did this cloning manually by exporting all content from A to B. Some times, we do something that we ourselves forget!! Once I asked my student to write a code to do a task for me. He did. And later on he himself forgotten how it was done. Any way, thanks a lot for great plugin. Regards,

Ok! Thank you for looking and thanks for the feedback. As a taste of things to come, we DO hope to support domain A to domain B cloning in the future (even across servers / hosts). All the best!
