Copy one blog to another

Hi Guys

I have searched to try and find my answers but to no avail.

I have two blogs naevans.co.uk and ne-it.co.uk and I want basically the same pages (with slight differences) to be displayed on both. I have tried exporting the settings from naevans.co.uk into ne-it.co.uk and it will not work saying the “import could not be completed”

Any ideas what else I can do try and resolve. Also I think I may have different versions of wordpress for each “site”, would that have an effect?

I am exporting into an XML file format successfully as far as I can see.
