Copying a child theme to a new domain

Hi all,

I am brand new at wordpress and I am having trouble with an issue:

I am trying to copy a child theme from one of my sites to a new site on a different domain. If I simply install the parent theme on my second site and then copy the child theme files via FTP I am finding that the images are being called from my first site (the urls are from the first site). How do I properly copy a child theme to a new domain?
