Copying email template to childtheme, and then deleting it, path not shown

  • I have 2.0.8 Pro on the main site, and 2.0.4 on my staing site. This has been duplicated on both.

    To duplicate, go to woocommerce/settings/email and select any of the four emil types, for example Customer Pre order notifiction

    Note how the template path is listed under “HTML template”

    Select “Copy file to theme”

    Then select “Delete template file”

    Press Ok whe asked Are you sure

    Note how the path says that the HTML template is not found.

    The path seems to be filled in correctly after switching to another email type and back again, but the native woocommerce emails do not have this issue.

    thank you for noticing the issue and giving us many details to recreate the issue. We will include a fix in the next release. As of now simply click on the “save changes” button after deleting the file. it will solve the issue.
