Copying Files from one site to another

  • Please help me. I created a practice site with the sleek black theme one url 1. After I was done I transfered the files to url 2. I went on url 2 and saw the sleek black theme with all the edits I made, however, when I try to login to the admin dashboard the site redirects to url 1. Then I started to click around on url 2 pages and realized that every page is redirected to url 1.

    Please help!!!! How can I transfer the files to url 2, without adopted the settings for url 1 and with no redirects.

  • If all the links on the second site still point to the first site, then that sounds like you haven’t changed the SITEURL and HOME options. You can either change them directly through your database, or through the Settings > General screen.
