• I wasn’t sure where to post this. I am having trouble getting the copyright symbol to appear in my footer. I only get a question mark instead. I have tried &copy and &#169. Right now I have the question mark and a simply typed (c), but I would rather have the actual symbol show. I am not sure if it’s a problem with my css or theme or font. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • This is certainly an editor issue.
    You either edit your file with a plain text editor like notepad or in admin panel / manage / files :
    /wp-content/themes/yourtheme/footer.php

    Beautiful, thanks a million.
    Now if I can just figure out all those invalide issues and make ’em valid. LOL
    Thank you all for speedy responses and great help. If I had your addresses I’d send you the best Scottish Shortbread you’ve ever or will ever eat! ??

    Well, the first one is easy… you have wrapped your html “head” with a link to “home” when it is your “HEADER” you want to wrap (it is located in the body, not the head, of the file).

    But I want my whole header to be link. So how would I do this another way?

    The head is not the header. In header.php remove…

    <a href=”www.smocknmama.com” title=”Home”></a><head profile=”https://gmpg.org/xfn/11″&gt;

    and…

    </head></a><body>

    Only what’s in bold? If so – done. I the rest as well, not yet done.
