copyright

  • How do I modify the footer to show the copyright symbol and word “copyright” with my company name? Do I have to modify the code in the footer in the template section? Right now, that seems like the only way to do it.

  • Since there is no option in backend to customize footer.You have to modify footer from template section.

    Thats what I thought but it didn’t hurt to ask. Thanks. Do you think that it will screw the theme up when it gets the next update?

    Hi ultrasteam,

    Yes, if you modify the footer.php file of your theme, any future updates could overwrite that change. If you want to modify any of your theme’s template files, you should create a child theme for those customizations. Changes made to the child theme wouldn’t be overwritten by future theme updates.
