copyrights with affiliate website logos

  • Hello, I am making a “resource” page were I am writing about resources I use. I am promoting affiliate links in this and I want to know if I’m aloud to use there logo or it that copyrighted

    For example I am an affiliate with Blue host and I want to add a picture of the bluehost logo is this aloud?

  • Logos are the property of their respective owners, so its polite to ask them for permission to use the logo. Some companies may approve but with conditions, for example, logo size, different logos for different circumstances, page background colour, attribution text or link to their site. Organisations will want to protect their brand image. Bigger companies may have a “Design Guide” for affiliates.

    You won’t want a solicitor’s letter!
