  • Those look like regular core dumps, created by the server when something goes wrong so that they can be used for debugging things.

    Deleting them should be safe (but it’s not really my area of expertise, better wait for someone to confirm that before you go ahead).

    I guess the big issue is to find out why the server is doing that, because it shouldn’t. You might want to contact your host and ask them to check if the server is running properly. Maybe posting a list of your plugins here could help identifying any known offenders as well. But since your WP install seems to be pretty much vanilla, I’d say it’s most likely something with your host.

    And a nifty idea for an app, by the way. Like a your own PC powered jukebox. ??

    Yeah, you can delete those. If they come back, contact your host and they can check logs to see what’s spitting them…
