• Hi,

i′ve made the auto update (from 3.0.4 to 3.5) via my wordpress-backend and everything crashed. I tried to access the frontend – blank page, login – blank page.

So i′ve manually replaced the installation back to 3.0.4 and now the browser shows me this

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_query_template() (previously declared in /mnt/webb/b1/86/5661686/htdocs/junked/wp-includes/theme.php:713) in /mnt/webb/b1/86/5661686/htdocs/junked/wp-includes/template.php on line 30

can anybody help? thank in advance…

    Ok,

i′ve repaired it, the problem seems to root in this file “wp-settings.php”.

(replaced all files in the root directory with the 3.0.4. files, except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php).

Anyhow, why does it crash trying to update to 3.5? What could go wrong while updating?

Just a dropped connection or similar It happens sometimes. Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
