core.31413 file taking up disk space

Hi there,

Does anyone know what the core.31413 file is for? Our site has reached maximum disk space allowed and this file is located in the wp-blog folder with a size of 92.39 MB. I also have another core filw in this folder called core.30040 with a file size of 43.60 MB.

I also have another four core files in this folder with size 0kb. Are these files required and if so what are they for? I would like to delete these and free up some space on our server but would like to know if they are required for the proper functioning of the site before I do so.
