Correct CAPTCHA fails

    A website I have recently assumed responsibility for is having issues with forms failing the standard CAPTCHA test even when the correct CAPTCHA text is entered. The site is being moved from Azure to WP Engine. It is in final testing before updating the domain and DNS. On the Azure host the form captcha works fine. On WP Engine I can submit in Chrome, but in IE, Firefox or mobile Safari on iOS 10.0.2 I get the error that the captcha didn’t match even when it does. The version of Fast Secure Contact Form on the Azure server is 40.43. The version on WP Engine is 40.50. I tried installing a earlier version to the WP Engine site and get the same issues.

  • You should update to the latest plugin version, enable recaptcha on the security tab instead of the image captcha. reCAPTCHA is better.

    The plugin is the newest available in the dashboard (4.0.50). After enabling PHP sessions in advanced settings, it seemed to work for me in IE. But others are still having issues. And when I tested again I get the incorrect captcha error again depending on the browser.

    That said, I went and enabled the reCAPTCHA and seem to have no issues with that one. Hopefully the users will like that ??
