• A simple question, I hope:
What is the correct mode for uploading files (via ftp)?
As I’ve understood, the php (and css) files should be uploaded in ascii mode – while image files should be uploaded in binary mode.
I ask because the Auto feature in my ftp client (Transmit – Mac) does did job badly, and ascii/binary seems to be an important thing.
    Thanks,

That’s correct. And the wrong mode while uploading can cause problems…

    Thank you.
Some details are easy to miss, but fortunately I’ve done this right.

If anyone knows an ftp client for Mac which handles this automagically, I’d be glad to know.
