Correctly changing the name of the podcast channel

    On my “Custom Podcast Channels” page at domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=powerpress%2Fpowerpressadmin_customfeeds.php I see my main podcast is called:

    Podcast (default channel)

    This was not always happening. It seems to have changed to “Podcast” recently, though I’m not sure when.

    I am unable to edit this name either. I want to change “Podcast” to instead say “Name of my podcast”… but when I edit the “Feed Title (Show Title)” nothing changes. Actually it correctly saves the “Feed Title (Show Title)” in Podpress, but the “Podcast” name does not change. And therefore on iTunes the name of the podcast is now “Podcast”…

    Any idea what is happening? How to solve this and correctly save the name of the podcast?

    Please provide a link to your show’s listing in Apple Podcasts so we can take a closer look at what’s going on.

    Hover over Podcast (default channel) and then click the Edit link underneath. On the next page, you’ll be able to change the title to whatever you want. Then, click the Save Changes button and clear any site caches, if applicable.

    Yup, I got that. I have changed it many times over the past month of trying to fix this on my own. The name successfully saves within WP/PowerPress. But Apple does not pick that up. I’ve got to itunesconnect many times to refresh too. It’s odd.

    Let me ask you a related question: Should the “Podcast (default channel)” name always have “Podcast (default channel)”, or should it change to reflect the name I added on the Edit page?

    The name shown on the Custom Channels page for Podcast (default channel) never changes. But, that shouldn’t cause “Podcast” to be the show title in your feed. It’d help to see what’s actually going on with your show’s Apple Podcasts listing. Please post a link to the listing.
