Corrupt attachment downloads following plugin update to 8.0.7

    Ticket attachments were downloading fine since I updated to WP 4.8 and WPSP 8.0.7. Since then, attachments download (file size seems correct), but are corrupt and can’t be viewed (attachments are always images in my instance).

    I have WordPress running on IIS and I suspect it’s a permissions issue. I can see that the file in the uploads\wpsp is not corrupt, and will display in a browser if the path is specified, but using download_attachment.php, the file downloads fine, but is corrupt.

    Anyone having a similar issue?

  • Hi @lukemoffat,

    Please try another setting for attachment download, goto Support Plus > Advance Setting > Advance Settings tab and choose Try opening in browser with direct attachment url.

    That’s great @gauravdohole! That’s even better than downloading. I hope that was new functionality in the update, because I don’t remember seeing that in Advanced Setting previously! Thanks for your prompt response.
