• Hello,
The issue involves https://funful-schools.com using WordPress 1.2 newly installed and using default UTF-8 for display of English, Chinese Traditional and Chinese Simplified characters. Everything was well, until service provider had a server restart to do “a one-off change”, to “compile Apache/PHP” into “same options” as other servers…
The strange thing is that now when you first arrive to the Web site, windows-1252 character encoding is used. But it changes back to the default UTF-8 when you refresh.
This is a big issue for me, as Chinese characters become nonsense when windows-1252 encoding is used. I checked the admin pages and UTF-8 is still being listed. Then I tried changing the character encoding at the admin pages, and then change it back to UTF-8. But the same behavior persists… Please help.
    Thanks,
    Ben

Help, I have the same problem I think. Because I didn’t change anything and one day I couldn’t read any of the Chinese characters on my sight. I’d like to see what code should be added and where. Thanks!
