    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

When this error occurs, this means that there’s another plugin interfering with the table saving mechanism in TablePress (by hooking into the internal WordPress post saving functions).
To fix this, we’ll need to find out which plugin that is. Therefore, please deactivate all plugins, except TablePress, one by one, and after each one, check if a newly added and edited table gets corrupted again. Once the problem disappears, you have found the plugin that causes this, and we can investigate further on how to fix that plugin.
(One plugin that is known for this is “Outbound Link Manager”.)

If that doesn’t help, I can offer to take a direct look at this on your site. In that case, could you therefore please send me an email with the information to a temporary admin account? My address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Ok I have deactivated all the plugins and I still get the error message. I’ve made an admin account using your email with the user name TobiasBg. You should get an email confirmation now.

    Hi,

the error message will not just go away after deactivating the plugins. It will just stop this error from happening again (on not-corrupted tables).
I have received your email, and I’ll take a look shortly and then post here again.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Ok I see what you’re saying. After disabiling all plugins and making a new table I can save it with a hyperlink without corrupting it.

    Hi,

ok, that’s good. Now, please start reactivating the other plugins one by one, and each time, check if the table still saves without getting corrupted. (Make sure to check on the “All tables” page each time.) With that, we can find the plugin that caused this.

    Regards,
    Tobias

I’ve isolated the troublesome plugin. It seems that the “Twitter Embed” plugin was the one. I deactivated it and can now insert hyperlinks into a table with ease. Now I need to either find a new plugin to embed tweets, unless you know of a way to change the code to accept the table.

I can still actually embed Tweets without this plugin activated so I think that functionality must be built into WordPress so that Tweet embed plugin wasn’t needed anyway.

Looks like everything is all set then. Thanks!!

    Hi,

great find! Yes, that’s the plugin that is causing this! I just found the relevant code in it.

The best solution is now to not use that plugin anymore, indeed. And yes, as WordPress has native support for embedding tweets since WP 3.5, you don’t actually need that plugin anyway ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
