Costs of using OpenAI account?

    I always hesitate to give my credit card details to a service like OpenAI with no guarantees of what will happen. While this plugin maybe free it does not work without payment – so it is not free to use.

    I do not mind paying for something useful but I would like an idea of what costs are incurred from other users. Thanks.

    Each message you send to OpenAI’s model is tokenized (you can experiment with it here: https://platform.openai.com/tokenizer) and for each of these tokens, you will pay a certain amount, depending on the model you wish to use. You see a complete list of the prices here: https://openai.com/pricing. ??

    You can extensively use a mode like GPT 3.5 for less than 5$ a month. ??

    Their service is sold on a “pay as you use” basis, so if you only used it for let’s say 10 requests you’ll pay 0.0040$ at the end of the month.
