    Hello @sg1gnyte

Thank you for using our plugin and for the review.

The spam checking is carried out by ReCAPTCHA – which is a Google service. This includes both iterations of version 2 as well as version 3. Our plugin acts as a connector to the service to facilitate integration whilst offering other supporting features.

There are many reasons why you might be seeing an uptick in spam. To troubleshoot this issue, however, we would need some more information, including:

    1. Is this a new installation, and if not, did you recently upgrade?
    2. If this was an upgrade, do you recall from which version did you upgrade?
    3. How many spam messages a day are you receiving?
    4. How much of an increase have you noticed?
    5. What does the Google ReCAPTCHA console show in the statistics? Do you know the ratio / percentage of the difference between the number of allowed requests vs blocked ones?

We offer free support to all plugin users. All you need to do is open a ticket by sending an email at [email protected], and one of out team members will get back to you.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks for the response.

    • We recently pushed changes from a staging site to our production site, and the SPAM problem started again after this push. We are using v3 and the score is at 1 but still getting SPAM.
    • We are on version 7.1.1 Premium.
    • I’m registering so I can see the stats on Google reCAPTCHA site

Thank you for your response @sg1gnyte

Just to confirm I am understanding the issue, so before pushing the changes to the production website, you had the previous version of the plugin and all was working well?

Do you know if there were any configuration changes applied on the staging website that might have been transferred to the live site and affected the plugin’s settings?

In regards to spam and numbers, we will need more information. For example if you typically receive 20 messages a day, and one spam passes through per day, that is acceptable. If you receive 1,000 messages per day, and 20 pass through, that is also acceptable.

It all depends on the numbers. If you want we can check the setup for you. Can you please give us the URL of your website so at least we can see where CAPTCHA has been implemented?

IMPORTANT: do not share your URL here. Please send us all the details via email at [email protected].

We look forward to hearing from you.
